karint Hi Meg! I can't remember where I asked you about the show Z so I'll just answer you here :) I have seen it and I really liked it- it's more loosely based than historical but they do add quite a bit of the real story to it which I love. The actor who plays F. Scott is kind of a disappointment (to me anyway) but Christina Ricci is wonderful as Zelda. Definitely check it out if you can 😊

I've never been to Los Angeles, but it looks like a very different climate (among other things that are maybe kind of-sort of different from SC and GA!).

maggiesfarm @dreizenspeichen verbosity is not a problem; that's a very interesting story (sorry for that tepid evaluation; I'm sleepy). Hardcore burnout is horrible. Not the "I need a vacation" but the "if I don't walk away from this and do a 180 then I will implode because everything is very loud and bright right now and I need to hide somewhere silent." Writing in a coffee shop sounds perfect, and it sounds like you have plenty to get down on paper/screen. (And you're right about Myrtle Beach.)

maggiesfarm @chammje thanks for asking! It wasn't as bad as initially predicted: the storm changed path. Monday was pretty eerie, but it was mostly limbs and other tree debris in the end. This was my first-ever hurricane prep, but I guess I'll have to get used to it!
