jlprewitt @jakey1956 hi there, the bag 81/2 Hin by 10 in W, base is 3 in. The straps are 2 separate ones. A good shoulder purse. Magnetic closure. Bag is made of beautiful fabrics, trim, beads,brown suede type fabric on handles and base. Fabric is heavy duty. Inside the bag is lined with iridescent pink fabric. I believe all of Mary Francis bags are made of quality fabrics and trim. Hope this helps
