Sadly , Mark passed away a few years ago. While living, he was technically classified as blind. Possessing just enough vision to identify faint blurs and areas of color as his friends and family. Also he suffered from a maddeningly severe case of synesthesia which he explained to me one morning (as we passed a doobie back and forth) was the source of his artistic inspiration. L.S.D., he discovered, allowed him to take various soundscapes that would normally impair him and capture them in his artwork so that the world might get a peek into the world he managed to function and be productive in for the better part of 55 years.
