The holder and lid are made from high quality 18/8 polished stainless steel. There is some minor staining on the lid that could probably be polished out. The style is Modern to Mid-Century Modern and is quite unique and kind of "artsy". Not just your average, run of the mill, casserole dish. It will look good on any table. Manufactured in the 1970's.
