Marche Exclusive Mid-Century Moss Green Turban/Cloche Hat/Pheasant Feathers

Is a hat a frivolous accessory or a necessity? When looking into its history it quickly becomes apparent that it has been both. Headwear for women began in earnest during the Middle Ages when the church decreed that their hair must be covered. This vintage hat was designed for a young Sophisticate of the 1950s-60s. The hat features a soft faux fur in muted/moss green with a small cluster of pheasant feathers adorned with clear rhinestones on the left side & accented with a thin orange ribbon. The hat’s design is a classic turban/cloche style, fitting snugly around the head with a rounded shape. Labeled “United Hatters Cap & Millinery Wrks” on top of a globe & handshake design with “Int Union” below. This shape is so true to the era. DIMENSIONS (underside band): 6 1/2" Across X 4” Wide Made in the United States. A truly original and ICONIC piece. A MUST HAVE addition to any vintage hat collection. Overall wonderful vintage condition! No spots, tears or missing feathers.
