Heavyweight 50/50 cotton blend Maicowerk A.G. was a West German motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1926 by Ulrich Maisch.   After WWII Maico began producing motorcycles, ungainly looking scooters and even a small car.  But they are most famous for their line of motocross, enduro and desert race bikes.  Unfortunately they are no longer around, but you can find them at vintage races.  And Maicos in good condition can fetch up to three times their original purchase price– wish I kept my 250s, 440s and 490s that I raced in the 70s and 80s.
