I love this dress! Are there any stains? Does it run small? I don’t want to feel like a sausage squeezing in.

@xxfitzi222xx It’s hard to say what size these gowns actually fit, if you google Maggie Sottero size charts it tells you what measurements cover what sizes. The gown will need dry cleaned only because the train is a little dirty. It’s sooooo pretty!!

@xxfitzi222xx there are no stains anywhere on the gown itself, just the underneath of the train that is hidden is a little dirty from being worn. The Swarovski Crysltal’s make it so pretty! I was really bummed that the gown doesn’t fit me

@jes15028 do you know if the dress was altered at all? I should fit in a size 10 but if it was taken in at the waist or hips at all it might be too small for me too.

@xxfitzi222xx I asked a seamstress about altering to fit me and she said it could be let out or taken in based on the style

@jes15028 May I ask why you didn’t? Was it too expensive to do the alterations you required?

@xxfitzi222xx it turns out for this designer I need a size 2 or 4. I would have needed so many alterations that the gown would not have looked the same when it was done. When I bought it I thought the person selling it was saying it was a size 6 from this designer, but it turns out she was saying that she typically wears a size 6

@jes15028 is the overlay attached or part of the outer layer?

This gown is also made to be a little loose it’s not as form fitting around the toosh as the photo of the model.

@jes15028 if you don’t know, is it possible to share a close up picture of the side seam?
Feb 06Reply

jes15028
@xxfitzi222xx the overlay has its own movement and is looser than the underlayer. I’m at a work conference until tomorrow night, but when I get back I’ll add some photos of the side seams

@jes15028 thank you! You’ve been very helpful.

I had my daughter take some pictures and send them to me. It does look like it may have been taken in a little bit around the lower back portion but it can easily just be let back out by a seamstress i’ll add the photos now

@jes15028 thank you so much. I have another question about the length. I know the train adds extra but do you know how much length there is in the front? How tall are you? Was there extra or just the right amount?

@xxfitzi222xx from the waist seam just under the bust to the floor is approx 46/47 inches. I’m only 5’2 but the original bride who wore said she was 5’5 so I think it all depends on what type of heel you wear

@xxfitzi222xx if you look at photo number five the seam that you can see underneath the bust area is where I started the measurement and went from there to the bottom on the front of the dress
