Made In Ireland, 1950s Vintage Embroidered, Irish Linen Two Pillowcase Set.

2 Vintage embroidered Made In Ireland linen pillowcases, still sealed in original plastic packaging from the 1950s. Measures 29 x 18 inches each. Never used. Some of the packaging is slightly ripped. A few small brown marks caused by the fading sellotape. Photos to show. It does not say what the material is, but the age & style suggests Irish Linen as that was widely available, home grown and used that time. The embroidery features a pastoral scene with cottage, trees, a mountain, and a bunch of shamrock design. The primary colors in the embroidery are green, brown, purple, and yellow, set against an off-white fabric. A search result shows that vintage pillowcases made in Ireland featuring traditional Irish designs, can be considered collectible items.
