Multi-colored with the look of a mosaic, this 7/16-inch square polymer clay stonework features mostly yellow, orange, and blue triangular segments in a silver tone setting. The stretch shank is constructed with elastic cord and 10 mm long silver-tone bar beads. Polymer clays were first developed in the 1930’s wartime shortages of materials used in doll making. FIMO polymer clay was first made popular by Maureen “Fifi” Kruse, daughter of well-known German doll designer Kathe Kruse in the early 1940s. Artist's love working with polymer clay because it's flexible, versatile, and can be baked in a regular home oven. Polymer clay is an excellent material for making all kinds of jewelry, including modern earrings, beads, charms, and pendants necklaces.
