We lost our beautiful Molly to a drunk driver in 2008. Shortly after, we set up a memorial scholarship fund and recently learned that funds promised by the defendant's family in a settlement were not completed. In order to keep it going, we donate a portion of every sales transaction completed to the Molly McCarter Memorial Scholarship Fund set up through Oregon Student Asst Comm and accepting additional donations at http://www.gofundme.com/remembermolly. As I discuss with my good friend, Gina whom lost her 17 yr old old son in Aug 2014. mcjewells We are still in Oregon. Haven't started travelling a lot yet. But in a week or so, we are heading to Tennessee for our son's 28th bday. We share birthdates. His is 10/14/88 & mine is 10/14/65. Ugh! Take good care!

5starfinds Thank you for remembering. Gosh, worst recovery of my life ( physically). Just getting out of bed now after 2.5 weeks. Doctor said I was healing well, but it was pretty extensive. Will be another 3 weeks before rehab starts. Praying for grace with my job. PS can't wait to see your new boutique line for Molly💕

lacie510 The t-shirt you wrote your question to me is Salt Lake Clothing. Their regular t-shirts are really form fitting and I recommend sizing up at least a size and the relax fit is fantastic. I personally have not tried the larger style but I have thought about trying it. Just my 2 cents.

I swore I did not want to have an only child. I don't think it's fair. And here we are with an only child. I probably jinxed it.

As a mother, my heart goes out to you. 💔 I do think it's a wonderful thing what you are doing to honor your daughter and I hope you can find some healing by helping as well as educating people. It should be a reality check to the others who may think it's alright to get behind the wheel after they've been drinking. My oldest son (22) lost a childhood friend this way, so heartbreaking.

mcjewells @obindee yes. We live in hillsboro. Molly went to liberty high school but had transferred to scappoose the year before she was killed out there. We lived in scappoose at the time. We're back in hillsboro now. What is your son's name and when did he pass? Molly's crash was on '08.
