MATCH STICK HOLDER AND STRIKER W/STERLING SILVER MEISSEN

Meissen yellow dragon match striker, painted with the "Imperial Dragon" pattern in yellow. The piece has a 0.925 silver insert with a hallmark from Hermann Behrnd of Dresden.There is a ridged striking surface on both sides. The match striker is used to store matches in the center and are lite be striking them on the ridges on the sides. Underside Meissen markings indicates that the piece was manufactured between 1924 and 1934. Very unusual and beautiful. In excellent vintage condition, no cracks, chips. Measures approximately 2.25"H x 3" W. D
