Marcus Pfister was born in 1960 in Bern, Switzerland. After attending art school in Bern and receiving training in graphic artistry, he worked from 1981 to 1983 in an advertising agency. In 1984, he left the agency to focus on his own art, namely picture books.
He published his first picture book, The Sleepy Owl, in 1986 with NordSüd, but it wasn’t until 1992 that he truly broke through as an internationally acclaimed children’s author with The Rainbow Fish.

@justinmcwilson hi thanks for your interest. We decided to keep it for another family member who is expecting we learned yesterday. 🍼Now I’m in the search for another one of the remaining series. These pieces of ART we kept for nearly 20 years. Could have gotten the complete set back then. Thanks

@chico155 thank you for getting back to me. Yes I know how hard they can be to come across... I bought one for $3 at a thrift store months ago and then became obsessed with wanting them all. I have both series, I just need the one but I am happy to hear that it is going to a good home. They truly are pieces of art. Good luck with your search.
