M. Schony Original Artwork Oil Painting “Weissenkirchen, N.Ö.” c. 1960-70

An absolutely beautiful Circa 1960’s-70 original signed european oil painting of the old market town titled “Weissenkirchen, N.Ö.” [Weißkirchen, Niederösterreich (Lower Austria)], by the artist ‘M. Schöny’ (German, 1913-), whose signature appears at lower right in the image area. Schöny was born in 1913 in Germany and was raised on a farm. He studied art in Munich and Berlin then exhibited throughout Europe. The title is written on the lower canvas margin on the piece. The painting is in very good condition for its vintage age with gorgeous rich color, as beautiful as the day it was painted. The painting is stretched & tacked onto a stretcher-frame and was previously framed at one point a long time ago (a more modern frame included with this listing). Canvas size: 16” x 12”.
