A fundraiser called Chez-Mel which raises money for victims of medical /dental malpractice pay for surgery and or treatment to repair damage due to being injured while under the care of medical personnel. This fundraiser was born from my own experience when a Dentist convinced me that I needed root canals when I only needed a few crowns to fix a few broken teeth. He unnecessarily botched root canals that resulted in breaking ALL of my lower molars and leaked dental cement into my sinuses resulting in $20,000 series of reconstructive surgeries and $5,000 for dentures and still trying to raise an additional $30,000 for hopefully my last surgery to repair the damage. I know first hand how devastating and humiliating it is to go through this type of trauma as well as the physical chronic pain that accompanied it.
