hello! I love the look of the pants but confused about the sizing, with the yard stick it’s showing a flat 16 (32 waist) but the tag says 40w
I wear a UK14 from lucy and yak and idea how these compare

They do have some stretch in the waist, so maybe that’s what can’t be accounted for in the flat measurement🧐
