tautomericshift Hi @snowkitty007 and @nimsue79 -- Yes, the waist is elastic! The waist measurement is 28" and the length is 35". Unfortunately the tag on this dress had already been cut off when I received it so I don't know for sure what the material is, but the outside of the dress feels like a soft cotton-type material. The skirt part has a liner that feels more like a polyester-type material. I uploaded a few extra photos to try to show this, let me know if you have any other questions!

nimsue79 @tautomericshift oh that’s okay. I guess I’m confused. You said the waist is 28”? In the pic it says 14”.. I’m guessing you mean all the way around because then that would be 28”.. But if that were true then maybe I’m reading measurements wrong in listings… I bought a dress that was 14” in the lists and it was too tight on me. It had an elastic waist, too. I don’t know what to think now. Am I reading their measurements wrong or yours?

nimsue79 I do love the dress though. It could be that the dress I bought had a smaller elastic band. Would you say this one is pretty stretchy?
