@reddyred1 great top, just want all cotton, thanks
Nov 15Reply

reddyred1
@sherisvintage Yes of course it's a cotton blend 60% cotton
Nov 15Reply

reddyred1
@sherisvintage Hello hun I don't know if you are aware that 100% cotton doesn't have any stretch and it shrinks and fades after washing which is why most cotton fabrics are blended to give longer lasting wear and appearance when cotton fibers are 60% and above you still get the breathability and comfort wearing it
Nov 15Reply

reddyred1
but the color still remains after washing and it doesn't shrink and for the most part is wrinkle resistant 100% cotton doesn't offer that 🤷♀️

@reddyred1 cotton is blended because synthetics are cheaper. And with the floods and droughts there is a shortage of cotton worldwide. Having been a clothing textile designer for three decades, yes, I do know this. Poly is never breathable. The top is great, hon. It will sell itself. The print is great. I just don’t put poly against my skin.

@sherisvintage I completely understand respect and agree your reference in polyester fiber which should be banned from the market and replaced with bamboo which is my personal opinion I only use cotton spandex blend and all my towels and bedding are exclusively organic bamboo and tessa silk-cotton fibers so I can relate to what your referring to

I'm very selective as well thank you for your reply great communication is always appreciated🌹happy poshing💜 posh love 😊

reddyred1
@sherisvintage Oh I cannot leave out linen is one of my favs as well😊
by you being in the fabric industry that means you are familiar with viscose what do you feel about that one particularly?
Nov 15Reply

sherisvintage
@reddyred1 tends to shred too easily, not one of my favorite fibers, except for the better quality

reddyred1
my family member first cousin is a textile master for many over a decade she makes fabrics for designers and the rich and famous celebrities which is amazing
Nov 15Reply

reddyred1
The finest natural threads are the best for comfortablility 😁👍
Nov 15Reply

reddyred1
@sherisvintage which should be the thicker mor dense ones correct?
Nov 15Reply

sherisvintage
@reddyred1 very true... I remember when polyester first came out....yikes, giving away my age....
Nov 15Reply

sherisvintage
@reddyred1 I don’t understand your question? I like higher density fine threads just like in softer sheets. The higher the thread count the softer the fabric.
Nov 15Reply

reddyred1
@sherisvintage yes with that said density is great for softness but if it's no loosely woven it has minimal breathability a loosely woven fabric offers breathability and temperature control regulation

reddyred1
@sherisvintage Lol yes my precious grandmother wore polyester everything now that I think of it as halarious when I looked in her closet I thought to myself I hope she never want to hand me down anything out of her wardrobe I don't want to hurt her feelings

@reddyred1 there was an early nylon knit that actually felt decent. It was trademarked “enkalure” a lot of high end designers in the 70s used it. Was actually nice prints and soft. I think Diane Von Furstenberg used it. And some of the German dye and discharge rayon prints were gorgeous. Now they are all paper prints on poly:(:(
Nov 15Reply

sherisvintage
Poly makes me smell yucky

@sherisvintage what a difference a day makes time changes things correct the greatest durability was made from the 90s on up everything else is like paper mache and doesn't have and lasting effects and are overlying priced it horrible
Nov 15Reply

reddyred1
I'm possibly from your era born in early 60s
