Lovely V.E.S 1940's vintage hand bag with navy and forest green cut velvet

Not often you find a well loved hand bag from the 40's in such nice condition. It had clearly been used, but not used up! The purse has cut a floral pattern cut velvet on both sides in forrest green and navy with a black background. The clasp works well. The leather use throughout the purse is soft and high quality, although there are rub marks and some damage to an interior pocket as pictured. This would make a nice addition to you vintage purse collection! It comes with the note I found inside, possibly linking the purse to an assistant pastry chef at the White House back in the 40's. How cool is that?
