From my personal closet vintage Louis Vuitton speedy 25 clean no odor only a pen mark on the inside side compartment. Recently replaced handle at the LV store you can purchase mink oil to condition the new handles to slowly match the rest of the cowhide color , no crack on canvas that’s very important because that means you can ALWAYS bring this bag to replace or fix anything you want at the LV store. LV have a very strict policy that they WILL NOT fix any of their bag if the canvas is cracked.

aroonsri @smitbabagail66 you must not familiar with restoring your LV at LV stores :( all repairs from LV store comes wrapped plastic beside my price is $550 that way it will be sent to AUTHENTICATED at Poshmark for free :) I don’t do fake darling.

aroonsri @vespeara yes only the handles and pull tab is replaced :) you can use mink oil from leather store to condition the new leather and slowly it will get its patina.

aroonsri @love2shopcheap1 hi it’s $200 to replace the handles at the LV boutique but if you live in ny or nj there’s a reputable cobbler Riggo’s brother would do the same work same material for lower price. But once you have your LV repaired in a non LV store LV will never accept any future repair for that bag.

aroonsri @janicebarrios hi yes but under Louis Vuitton one very strict rule is that there must be no CRACK on the canvas at all because they won’t touch their bag that canvas have begun to crack.

aroonsri @janicebarrios Their simple reason is that they have to work on the bag unstitch by hand and stitch back in by hand where the old stitching holes are and they have to touch and work on the bag very carefully so they avoid working on crack canvas because the procedure might make the crack get worse blah blah blah and they could be held responsible for the damage so they avoid all crack canvas all together.

shishkabob26 I was very lucky when I replaced my leather on my speedy 30 at the LV store, they told me they would only do the handles and the leather that held the handles. When I picked it up, they replaced all the leather including the piping! I was pleasantly surprised!

shishkabob26 The only leather not replaced was the small handle tabs under the inside pocket. But they did replace the handle tab that had the date code! I at least have the receipt if there is any question. This was done over 10 years ago. I don't think they replace the piping any longer. Looks like a new bag! I haven't used it since, but am thinking of taking it out of hiding :)

saltlifemom18 Plastic covered handles are not normal on new bags however there are some YouTube videos showing that after a repair they often do come wrapped in plastic if not it's because the essay removed it prior to giving you back the bag. Many trusted you tubers do show this just FYI

I’m an LV collector I have my first LV when I was 14yo I’m Now 45 all my LV are my private collection and have ALWAYS have them repaired by LV I purchased countless and repair countless though LV boutiques all of my repairs do came back with plastic on handles and straps.
