I just checked and theres nothing wrong with the sides. The light color doesnt stick out when the flap is closed. The light color also cant be pushed in bc its connected to the divider inside the bag. If the bag doesnt look right to you, i would advise looking for another piece that comforts you. Its a lot of money to spend. For myself, I purchased 4 different pochette metis to find the perfect one for me and returned the others.
