The bag is in great condition. There are some scratches on all the silver hardware including the turn lock but it functions smoothly. The side snaps can be opened up to make the bag bigger, like a gusset. The inside of the bag is clean. The chain cannot be removed. The leather crossbody strap can be removed and changed to another strap. Leather is soft. Perfect bag for any occasion. This bag will come with an authentic extra fabric strap with silver hardware. It was meant for a laptop case but I rarely use this strap. I tried it with this bag and it felt more comfortable crossbody because the strap is much thicker.
