I have tried to capture the straps condition with multiple pictures. I applied leather glue in the area of concern. This area sits underneath the side leather strap so it gives the support needed. I took 2 separate pictures to show the area and how it looks in proper placement. Barely noticeable!! I’m happy with the results! The strap is very strong this is not a worry of concern of breaking if used as shown. I have cleaned and conditioned all canvas & leather. This bag is 39 years old and has visible character marks. The canvas and piping is in good condition. Both zippers work smoothly. I did polish the hardware as well. Exterior and interior pocket shows wear but NO stickiness throughout the bag.
