The case is clad in 10k rolled Gold plate, as well as the case back making it highly durable and able to maintain the beautiful gold color and shine this watch was meant to have. The back of the watch reads "I.W.C. CO 10K ROLLED GOLD PLATE". There is one blemish that I can see which is on the upper left side of the back of the case.
