London Voyage vintage couture apple-green sleeveless top. Cashmere and wool.

This vintage, sleeveless top from London Voyage couture is apple-green in color and composed of 60% cashmere and 40% wool. This fanciful, rare top is embellished with a pattern of white beads and deepened with a nearly-visible, integrated, mesh netting of a slightly darker hue. The neckline and armscyes (armholes) are double-bordered with an inner trim of felted velvet and a thick satin ribbon on the edge. The top is one-size but it fits about size 6-8. The design house is closed and vintage Voyage is now sold on auction. Here is what Chiswick Auctions tells in their article about it: “Every piece in Voyage was handmade and therefore unique. The brand developed a romantic aesthetic; floaty and bohemian designs that played with texture and contrasting materials. Its creations appealed to a younger, sexier clientele. With Kate Moss leading the pack, Voyage became the must-have label amongst the London elite with the eye-watering price-tags being in no way a deterrent. … The store adopted a ‘member’s only’ approach issuing cards to those deemed ‘cool’.. During the late 1990s, Voyage made headlines when Madonna was turned away because she was unrecognizable in her tracksuit bottoms.”
