"The Lomonosov Imperial Porcelain Factory, also known as the Imperial Porcelain Factory or Imperial Porcelain Manufactory (IPM), was founded in 1744 by Dmitry Ivanovich Vinogradov on the banks of the Neva River in St. Petersburg, Russia. It was Russia's first porcelain factory and one of the earliest in Europe. The factory has been supported by Russian tsars since Empress Elizabeth and is known for its hand-painted ceramics. The factory has produced cobalt net porcelain since 1949. The cobalt net pattern is the factory's trademark style and is a combination of intersecting cobalt blue lines, inverted cobalt blue teardrops, and 22 karat gold accents."
