Lilac & Forsythia Silk Print 1950s Tailored Shirtwaist Dress - Med Floral printed 1950's silk double breasted shirtwaist dress features purple lilacs & yellow forsythia on a soft beige background with black accents. The dress has with 3/4 length cuffed sleeves with darts at the elbows and a straight skirt with an 8" kick pleat in the front at the hemline to facilitate easy walking. There are two pockets situated below the waistline on the the hips. It closes with 8 black buttons and has a 2" wide self fabric covered belt. A graceful wide collar creates a flattering open neckline. Can be worn it as photographed with the self fabric covered belt or substitute it with a solid black leather belt to emphasize the black buttons. Made by Demi of Los Angeles, California, this dress is elegant and lady-like. A glamorous and sophisticated 1950s tailored look with the straight skirt. It was a bit hard to photograph the details due to the busy print, but they show up well in person. Measurements taken flat: Shoulders - 15.5" , Waist 15.25", Hips - 19.5". Double these for circumference. Length of dress from shoulder to hem is 41". Length of skirt from waist to hem is 25". Length of bodice from center back neckline to waist is 16". Belt is 2" wide. There are no size tags in the dress, My Mannequin is a size 6 in contemporary sizing - the dress is a little big on her. I think it fits like a Medium in letter sizing. I am happy to answer questions
