Hey BJ! Thanks for coming to my show. No sales, but my prices are pretty low for my items, I think. I tried, but it was great that you and Barb came and kept the chat going! And I got more people sharing to the tray! Is there anything you can think of that I might need to do more or less of? How do I come across? 🤔 I am always up for constructive criticism!

eh, that is ok! It was a silent show anyway. No sales, Story of my life.....lately! No body wants to spend, unless it is $3 - so dumb and not fair. Poshmark needs to put an end to that $3 thing or do a seperate for auctioning like that. Poshfart makes $2.95 and the seller makes 5 lousy cents! You know greedy POSHMARK should give the seller the WHOLE damn $3 lousy dollars for heaven's sake! Ok, rant over....whew I feel better now!

@kareynascloset *nods* I'm sorry for you 😞 I feel differently about the $3 floor, but I do think it's unfair that our take away is $.05 given how rich Poshmark is. the thing is, the lowest a person can spend on an item on Poshmark is $11. even if we only make $.05, someone else has still spent $11. they aren't spending $3, they are spending $11. 😔

@kareynascloset and that's what a savvy buyer has to consider, though it makes it so we as sellers get jipped no matter what, unless we can be very creative about bundles, or utilize the $3 sales only on items where we won't lose money.

@kareynascloset but, I'm also currently use Poshmark for different business needs. I am a recovery horder, AND I bought a large auction lot 2 years ago that equated to about 4 pallets of antiques and collectibles, and then started the junk haul business without have ng the money to store it, so it all came back to my property --- WITH a 6mo old who I was nursing, and my back, hip, neck, and shoulder issues from that accident along with a handful of other chronic health issues...

@kareynascloset so I'm in a place where if I can make $.05 on things instead of having to throw them away, that's gold to me! but, I have made my money back on what I purchased from auction, and I haven't started buying specifically for Poshmark yet. so, I'm just starting up, and you've been trying to do this as a solid part time for years. people are more willing to support someone who's just started, AND our business models are different

so, I knew I needed to make a minimum of $5 return on every item, and had been plugging away at it for a year or so with poshbuyers just being stingy and trying to steal, I'm sure I would feel the same way you do 😔

Yes, I get making a few cents on something that would be useful to someone else rather than throw it away. I just think that PM maybe should not take 1000% of that $3. Maybe split is so at least you can make $1.50 instead of 5 cents. I am advocating for more fairness if the $3 thing is going to be where everyone goes becuase most people are wanting something for nothing, especially these days. But when I see hundreds buying luxury bags......that makes me go hmmmmm.....

Hey, it is slowing quite a bit for sales lately, even for me and I only sold one item all weekend. So, that is not usual. You saw my show and my prices for what I have is way below their worth and name brand worth. I try and I will keep trying and stay positive! I have been doing Poshmark way before they started the LIVES and I sold a LOT more than I do now. Maybe it is economy or maybe it is competeing with low start shows. I even did a $5 start show and nothing sold. Frustrating at times

@kareynascloset xD I 100% agree! what is up with the bag culture?! that is the 1 thing that I haven't had a listing for yet, but the only thing I see sell at every show!
I have a couple to list but haven't felt like it... though, Nine West and Vera Bradley and even Kate Spade aren't luxury I suppose. so I technically I don't have any luxury brands

@bjsstylehertz No one has any money really. The ones who do go look for the luxury and good luck getting that for inventory where you do have to shell out a few thousand to get that kind of inventory or be a diva and have those already that you can let go of. or you have a sugar daddy who supplies them, who the heck knows! Or how about all the thievery happening in stores where the first thing they head for is the handbags and they do probably sell them online. No way to trace either.

I can't tell you how many accounts I've looked at and though, "well, that's a professional thief" or thought the account is run by 1 person who is selling for a gang or loop. it's sad. but that's the online selling game! xD and yes, the sugar daddies! ya can tell there are a decent number of sugar daddy accounts too!

I used to get some pretty great deals on mid-line designer handbags for really low clearance on Nordstrom's $20 or $30 or so, and sell for a profit, and somewhere in the midst of realizing their worth these days, they changed and now their clearance is crappy. You can go to Ross or Marshall's at times and peruse for the red tag clearance on some bags, if you are lucky! Some thrift stores do keep the pricier handbags in a section so you will have to shell out $40 to $50 for a LV or Kate Spade.

But then you can get $150 to $200 maybe if you can get the audience for it. Or just be patient and keep trying? Maybe to go the ones selling those and follow some of their followers? I try that but find it really doesn't direct traffic to my shows really. I feel I am doing something wrong with tagging or getting the word out about my shows. I am behind the tech 8-ball somehow.

@kareynascloset I think thrifting in the right places is how most people get their inventory though. i know I can go to goodwills and find junk in one area, and then find rows and rows of gently used coach and prada in another

1. we couldn't hear the music at all 😞
2. when you asked us if we could hear it, and had a few other interactive questions, we said we couldn't, or gave you a response, but it didn't look like you were able to read it
3. when you had shares to the tray or queue, the way you shared others seemed a little haphazard

@kareynascloset akdad and girl_73 had left and come back several times before it looked like you got to see them and run their items.
I don't know that is necessarily a bad thing, but being closer tied to your chat and routinely checking your green lights if you only run green lights feels like it might be important for a share show

6. a couple times barb and I both filled the chat to let you know someone had to step out or to answer a question you had, but it seemed you might have missed it

@kareynascloset and last one, I think your prices are suuuuuuper reasonable! except when coming to anything that is missing tags, branding, or has unreadable tags. no matter how much someone would be willing to pay for it if they could see it or feel it, brand names is what posh is mostly about, and if it doesn't have a brand or tellable history, I don't think people want to pay more than $5 for it. but that is my opinion

oh yeah! Sheila and I were going to do a trade, then earlier this week she said she had a really bad day and was feeling discouraged about posh in general and disappointed. she told me a story about a bad trade and I completely understand! so she was thinking about listing the shirt I liked on the Real to hopefully get a better deal for it.

@kareynascloset The biggest difference between a share show and co-host is a co-host always has multiple hosts, but a share show not necessarily. A share show means the + is open and (most likely) everyone's items are being shared. in a co-host show, that may not be the case. Everyone's items might be shared, or, only sleect people, OR only the primary hosts. In a share show it is possible that the tray is pre-loaded and only select poshers' items are being shared, but that is frowned upon.

@kareynascloset the point of a share show really is to share everyone's but, you can let anyone come on live with you and potentially be a co-host once you are running their items.
in a co-host show, it is expected you have someone live with you; in a share show, not necessarily.
I like to combine the two

@bjsstylehertz We will have to set up for a live duo show sometime! It would be fun. Yeah, I have tried quite a few share shows, and with my small audience, it's hard to just share others' items only, I never get enough buyers, just sellers. So, I do 25 of my items, and then I share whomever puts items into the tray. I leave 25 spaces open, and then if I get more....
