This botanical tote features VTG American watercolor art of blooming Erythranthe lewisii wildflowers, a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Phrymaceae family. The flower blossom petals are depicted in varying shades of pink, magenta, fuchsia, red and yellow surrounded by green leaves. Additional common names include Lewis’ monkeyflower and great purple monkeyflower. It is native to western North America, from Alaska to California and east to Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. Mimulus lewisii is protocarnivorous, supplementing its nutrients with small insects, and is named in honor of explorer Meriwether Lewis.
