Intact plating but there are signs of beginning plate thinning (rough texture on some of the body). This piece is still plenty beautiful and functional and is sold at an affordable price. Measures approx. 10" tall and 9" handle to spout. This is one of the less common patterns by Leonard.

@janetwiederholt Hi,
thanks for your interest in the piece. It would be safe, keep in mind that over time, the silver plating on the inside could flake off, leaving tiny pieces of silver in your water which is the worst case I would think, but even then, your body would pass it no problems. Silver is not toxic.

The metal underneath is certainly some kind of a brass which is also safe. Leonard was in business for a very long time and I've never heard or seen anything about it being unsafe to use.
