This is a single tea cup and saucer from a set. This tea cup and saucer will complete your set missing that important piece. The ID number is 03318. It is hand-painted and very sweet. It is not perfect. It has some discoloration on the handle and bottom rim. I am not an expect on China and therefore, I cannot determine the cause of this stain. They has been gently washed for this listing.It is also a piece from an estate and is one of many pieces that will be listed in our shop. George Zoltan Lefton left his native Hungary in 1939 and moved to Chicago Illinois. While he had no professional experience with porcelain or China he was an avid collector. He founded Lefton China in Chicago and 1940 taking advantage of a move to a new country to explore his passion for fine china. Lefton China produced in occupied Japan included a wide range of pieces dating from 1946 to 1952. Designs range from delicate, formal pieces with gold edging and soft floral patterns to the whimsical and playful designs of the 1950s. Many of the pieces of Lefton China from occupied Japan were produced by the Miyawo company during this period.
