Hand crafted, one of a kind, sterling silver necklace by award-winning Santa Fe Spanish Market silversmith Lawrence Baca. “Baca Beads” (9mm) necklace with attached purple “car” heart with layered (x3) wings, bursts / rays, and crown with moonstone cabochon. Each element is intricately stamped on both front and back. He was known for his exquisite attention to detail using old Navajo stamps, as well as, those of his own creation. The heart is made out of wood, then painted with “car” paint and fired to a smooth matt-like shine. From clasp to clasp this necklace is approximately 17 1/2”. The winged heart measures approximately 3 1/2” (W) x 2” (H). Lawrence Baca began silversmithing in the early 1990’s. He passed away this year at 61 years of age.
