Gorgeous stone of lavender Amethyst set in pretty scalloped setting of Sterling Silver. Simple Band. Hand Crafted. The stone is 13mm x 18mm. From my studio in Florida. Made in the USA. Amethyst is a variety of quartz. In ancient times it was believes Amethyst would prevent intoxication, so jewelry and goblets were carved from it. It was used as a gemstone by Egyptians and is currently considered a semi-precious stone.
