Marcasite has been used in jewelry since ancient times, with Greeks, Thracians, and Egyptians all using it in their embellishments. It was especially popular during the Georgian and Victorian eras, and again in the 1990's and modern times. Marcasite should be cleaned with a soft dry cloth and not exposed to water, steamers , or chemicals. It should also be stored in separate plastic bags. Larimar is a marbled blue stone. Larimar is one of the rarest minerals on this planet. It is found in one location in a mountainous area in the Bahoruca mountain in the Dominican Republic.
