A little bit about thunder eggs: “Thunder eggs form in gas-fuelled volcanic flows that create cavities when solidified as rocks, where minerals then solidify over time. Mineral deposits develop in layers, firstly with a dark material then usually an inner centre made up of agate or a type of silica known as chalcedony.
