All Natural Rare Mexican Cantera Opal Necklace. These opals are only found in one place in the world. They originate from the Magdalena region of Jalisco, Mexico. Mexican Cantera opal is a type of fire opal that forms in rhyolite, a volcanic rock. This piece is very large and has a lot of fire. There is one small imperfection/inclusion in the Opal as seen in pictures but is barely noticeable. Length is 18". Both chain and bail are 925 Solid Sterling Silver stamped.
