Large Bluefish 1996 Velvet Tribal Ornamental Pocket Dress in Spicewood

This Bluefish dress is a palette of Eclectic Stylin' all in one piece! You have this organic cotton dress in a cocoa - burgundy color titled "Spicewood". The piece definitely begins as a traditional Bluefish dress with wide, swinging hem and hand painted decorations. But then it spins off with velvet trim in deep rich brown, snaking along the neckline, slithering around the cuffs and stretching around a 100-inch hemline. Now, if that isn't startling enough, a hidden velvet cord threads around the waist from which dangles a long-pointed painted velvet purse akin to what was popular in '30s jazz clubs in places like Chicago or New York! Now, one would expect, with the velvet and all, that the hand painted decorations would be subtle -- flowers. Or butterflies, perhaps. But no, some wildly creative artist, possible under the influence of "pot" -- well before it was legal -- got ahold of this piece, an in a flourish of artistic frenzy created wild tribal designs! Bluefish hand painted jersey made of 100% organically grown cotton. The velvet fabric consists of 80% rayon, 15% nylon and 5% lycra. This design is from the Bluefish Winter Collection of 1996 in the color “spicewood”. The dress has a generous, sweeping A-line, velvet trim and accents including a hand painted purse dangling from a tie off velvet cord. The paint theme is tribal.
