Lanternier Limoges Hand Painted Plate Thistle Pattern AL Anchor Mark French Victorian Era Artist Signed 1893 Porcelain Art Nouveau Nice antique French porcelain plate decorated with greenery and purple, lavender and pink thistles with all the main elements outlined in gold. The edge has a deep clouded / sponged gilding. Marked on the reverse Limoges AL France with an anchor. This mark was used by Alfred Lanternier in Limoges France between 1891 and 1914. The artist also marked their initials and the date 93 which indicates 1893. Measurements:  8 3/4" Diam x 1 3/8" H Condition:  Very good antique condition with some minor gilding loss on face of plate and a few noticeable gaps in gilding along rim. Normal wear for age.
