Ladies Vintage Two Peice Suit by Zalinka Matlick

This suit has a longer jacket and kick pleat straight skirt. The collar is finished in velvet. The fabric is a brown and orangish tweed wool fabric. It was well-made and, at this time, needs some TLC. It needs some buttons, 15 total. Twelve for the double-breasted front and one on each cuff. There is one remaining button, which is a simple black style. Buttons that would match or work with the original style would be easy to find. What appears to be a pocket is not and is a pocket looking detail that goes from the front to the side/back. There is no size, but from the measurements, you can tell it is perhaps a size six. This famous suit and coat designer was Zelinka Matlick. Look back in vintage Vogue Magazines, and you will find the designs of Zelinka Matlick. He took his inspirations from Paris, but created styles that were pure American! His suits and coats were top of the line, well made and highly tailored. Please note in the photos what might appear to be some discoloration. This does not seem to be fading because of the uniform pattern, in my opinion.
