LUIS CARBONELL VOLUMEN II - ESTAMPAS - Luis Mariano Carbonell Pullés , better known as Luis Carbonell ( Santiago de Cuba , 26 of July of 1923 - Havana , 24 of maypole of 2014 ) was a reciter, musician and Cuban writer. It was also known as the watercolor Poetry Antillana Biography Born in Santiago de Cuba the 26 of July of 1923 , only son of Luis Carbonell and Amelia Pullés. He studied piano with professor Josefina Farré Segura and in Havana he studied music with professor Eugenia Rodríguez. He also learned English , a language of which he was a teacher years later. At the age of fifteen, he began working at the CMKC radio station as a pianist and declaimer, while at the same time he worked in theaters in eastern Cuba.
