This is a lovely natural untreated opal from Italy. It has a subdued orange color with a sterling silver wire wrap. It is not hallmarked SS because it was hand crafted. You can see glimmers of red fire deep in the stone. It is a thick stone about 4 to 5 carats. The entire pendant is 1 1/2" long. This was a gift from a lady I purchase my opals from. Since orange is not my color, I hope someone can appreciate it put it to good use.
