LOVE pin Robert Indiana Stamp Brooch

Gold plated metal pin in shape of a letter stamp in enamel. Based on the USPS stamp that was commissioned of artist Robert Indiana in 1973. The 8 cent letter stamp of same design was released in early '73 in advance of Valentine's Day. Design was so popular, 425 million sold in the 2 years it was made. JG&A had official commission from the USPS in 1985 to reproduce stamp in the form of this beautiful full-color glazed enamel. New old stock with functional pin back.
