Beautiful Vintage LOUISE FONTAINE Crocodile Horse & Buggy Equestrian Horsebit Crossbody Bag Purse Condition: Well cared for bag with no obvious flaws or wear. Coming from an estate of a collector who collected more than used her bags. Check pics for details. Description. Adjustable strap that can convert to long strap for wearing crossbody. The front flap tucks in to a dramatic horse and buggy slot to secure the bag. Has 3 open compartments and a sidewall zip compartment. The sides are accented with a gold horsebit. Authenticity tag inside. Measurements: 9 1/2" wide x 7" tall x 2 1/4" deep. Shoulder strap has a 21" drop when used as crossbody or can shorten. Louise Fontaine was a famous leather goods maker / saddler for the very affluent Belgian beau-monde of the 50s and 60s. Owner of a high-end boutique on Avenue Louise in Brussels where you could order a special made bag. The skins are of superior quality and construction and have a trademark glossy finish!
