Soooo many compartments and sections( side drink bottle mesh, Velcro close side pocket for phone, keys, zip open expandable mid section allowing for bulk, deep section for books, magazines, iPad, 4 subsections, then there is the big back section for clothes, blankets, neck pillow, plenty of room. All of this is closed over with a wide long flap ( which has a hidden zippered section also! ) All of the zippers have a LlBean brand hard rubber pull on the zipper for quick easy opening. Oh, there is even a small change purse -for money or your earbuds! —detachable-for quick pullout.
