L.L. Bean Men’s Two-Layer Crewneck Top - S

I bought this second-hand thinking I could make it work for me (I'm a size small woman) but the shoulder and arms are definitely cut for a guy. It's hard to tell if this is vintage or not since Bean's been offering this exceptional style for 30 years, but I suspect this might be from years past since the crewneck is not currently on Bean's site. In any case, the fit through the body is quite slim; the size chart for the current henley version says Small fits a 34-35 chest and I would say this is the case but even then it's going to hug the body a bit, which is perfect if you use this style to layer under a shacket. Condition is excellent- I've carefully laundered it but I would say it's not been previously worn (I photographed the sleeve cuff because this is the first place you'd see piling and there's none). Outer layer is 50% cotton/40% merino wool/10% nylon. Inside layer is made of soft, absorbent cotton. As a duofold construction (the cotton and wool are knitted together), it will shrink in the dryer. Woven just for us in Canada by Stanfield’s, a 160-year-old family company. Machine wash, dry flat. Made in Canada.
