•NWOT •original yellow silicone bracelet; Nike cut off partnership in 2013 Livestrong bracelets are yellow silicone wristbands that say “Livestrong” on them. They were created specifically for fundraising purposes for cancer research, however, as time went on, they became very popular to where people were wearing them for fashionable reasons. Lance Armstrong, an American professional cyclist and cancer survivor founded the Lance Armstrong foundation. Its goal was to raise awareness and funds for cancer and it exceeded expectations. The foundation started in 1997 and a few years later in 2004 the awareness took off from a simple small item, a wristband. This wristband is known as the iconic yellow 2000’s Livestrong bracelets that were developed by Nike and its advertising agency, Weiden + Kennedy.
