LIMOGES BOX - HARE & TORTOISE RACE - RABBIT & TURTLE - BUNNY Peint Main ~

Do you collect Limoges? Bunnies or rabbits? Or things relating to Aesop's fable "The tortoise and the Hare?" Then this piece is for you! The brown bunny is giving the tortoise quite a look! The brown rabbit has a white cottontail, and the turtle, has a brown and white shell. They are placed on a grassy green base. Blades of grass are painted on the side. A bunny is the clasp, and inside is the title in French, "Le Lievre et la Tortue." The box is 1.3" by 2.1" with a height of 1.9". "Peint Main - Limoges France PPA OC" is on the bottom. Peint mane means the piece has been painted by hand. PPA stands for the Pierre Arquie factory in Limoges France. I'm not sure, but I'm assuming the OC is the initials of the person who painted it.
