The corners are sharp and free from bumping. The gold page edges are bright with a few small scuffs on volume one. Cloth end pages and gold pages edges all around. There are many full page and numerous quarter b&w illustrations throughout. Illustrated by Lynd Ward. There are no signs of former ownership inside. Book size is 6.50 by 9.50 inches tall. Volume 1 contains Volume 1, 2 and 3. Volume 2 contains volume 3, 4 and 5. The Collector's Notes and and unsigned bookplate is included.
