The measurement from underarm to underarm is 18” measured flat. There is some stretch to this garment and the front has a zipper closure in the front that you can zip up to keep warm, or down for a more flattering neckline. There is a small loose thread on the right arm (see photo) it is easily overlooked, or can be drawn back through the underside for the look of perfection.
