@kban1717 I would say this is a comfy throw for curling up on the couch or decorative at the end of the bed on top of a comforter. it's great for lounging in California winters, but wouldn't use it for true warmth in bedding. I'm not sure of your needs or climate, but I would consider this decorative and adequately thick. let me know if you have any other questions!
