I just now have a few minutes to reply. So, basically I left my full time career as a counselor years ago. I was stay at home mom and always loves fashion & photography.

persuasions @glesga52 Long story short I ultimately opened my own store front boutique after years of selling online and then started this second closet to sell overstocked items from our boutique lines. I also have a professional photography studio and a professional model I hired 2 years ago to model our pieces as I’m not super big on using stock photos. My business is a legal, tax paying business including all sales on Poshmark.

persuasions @glesga52 In order to purchase real wholesale items you need to be a legal business. I’d recommend not using the wholesale portal here because you won’t make money as most of them are buying from the clearance section of the wholesale vendors and selling them here for much more and then people buy into it and never make their money back. Most end up at a total loss.

persuasions @glesga52 This is a tough business and it takes a lot of work and time & effort. You have to really commit to it. I’d even venture to say I spend more time working on my posh sales than I do for my actual store front a lot of the time. It can be done though but know when doing it, on average most new businesses are at a loss their first few years.

persuasions @glesga52 I would also recommend having money saved away to cover your bills while you’re working on your business. You’d also want a good amount of money to invest in inventory before opening. Then again I guess it all depends on what you’re planning on doing with your business and what you want out of it. I wish I had easier advice to offer but it if a lot of work. You just have to keep pushing and keep positive even during the tough times. .
